TideBreakers “Debrief” Music

This piece was actually inspired by a riff that I wrote for one of the previous pieces. I really liked how it sounded as if the melody was from something else, so I explored it and settled upon the main melody in the second section here. The first section was then a deconstructed version of that with a cool reverby backing.

Even though “Debrief” doesn’t 100% fit with the more swashbuckling feel of the earlier tracks, I think it definitely has its place as it fills the space for a quieter, more contemplative piece. I’m also big fan of reggae music, especially the off-beat guitars, so I’m really pleased I got that in there. I sometimes imagine the second-section as a sort of end-credit music for TideBreakers, if it were a TV show or something!
